Sarajevo 100

In the occasion of the centennial anniversary of the Sarajevo assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, The Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Bosnia & Herzegovina (ULUPUBIH), The Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (ALU Sarajevo) and The Ministry of Culture and Sport of Sarajevo Canton, organized an International Invitational Art Project under the working title “Views–Sarajevo 1914-2014”. The goal of the project was to get different points of view about Sarajevo in the context of the last 100 years.
The request was to design a collaborative poster inviting a younger generation designer.
The double poster designed by Leonardo Sonnoli with Irene Bacchi is reduced to just a document that is supposed will be burned or destroyed in the next assault at the cultural building of Sarajevo, being the history of this city constellated by several destroying facts.

AGI São Paulo 2014

The organizers of the 2014 AGI Congress asked each member to partecipate at the special project with a poster answering to the question: “What comes to your mind when you think about Brazil?”.
Furthermore they asked to turn the same question to a younger designer inviting him/her to produce a poster as well.
With a dialogue in two posters, Leonardo Sonnoli discussed with Irene Bacchi about the Cesare Battisti affair: the italian terrorist has been sentenced in Italy for 4 homicides but currently he lives as a free man in Brazil, well known as a writer. The Brazilian Constitutional Court denied Italy’s request to extradite him.
The answer to the question “What comes to your mind when you think about Brazil?” is translated in another question: “How is possible that a man could be considered in two opposite ways as a citizen”.
